Welcome back to Bubbles kindergarten! We hope that you have had a nice break and we excited to see you back this week. 😊

This week we started back together and had time to reacquaint ourselves with each other, catch up on the holidays and getting back into the routine. The children settled back in beautifully and were straight back into their rhythms which shows how comfortable they are here in the kindergarten. This week we also welcomed our first new Bubbles child. She joined us this week and she settled in right away with her brother  to guide her. So a big welcome to the new kid! 😊 Another person that we welcomed this week was our FSJ (Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr) team member. She will be joining us full time with school year. She will be speaking German with the children and is a Munich local. Please come and say hi when you see her. 😊

During the week we did a song review from the English songs we learnt last year. We read a new book called “You” by Stephen Michael King about friendship and the importance we hold in the lives of those close to us. This starts off our current theme of belonging that will start off our educational journey this year. It is about the children’s identity as a member of Bubbles and how we have respectful relationships with each other and ourselves. It will also look at the structure of the kindergarten. Our routines and rituals that are integral for smooth functioning, such as washing hands, setting up lunch tables, and tidying up, as well as, show and tell, morning circle and using toys/materials in the group. As new children orientate into the group, this will help to support smooth transitions, collaborative learning between previous and new children and a sense of belonging, purpose and responsibility at Bubbles. We look forward to how this theme will develop in the coming weeks.
