This week was another busy week at Bubbles filled with fun activities.
As we continue our theme of Autumn, the children have been getting excited about Halloween. In our circle time we sang songs about Autumn, counted chestnuts and spoke about their costume choices for Halloween. We reminded them to only knock on doors where the lights are on, and Halloween decorations are at the door.
We had our first baking day, and the children helped peel apples, cut them into circles and wrap them in puff pastry. It was a delicious dessert after lunch.
In the German preschool sessions this week they did poems, rhyming words and sang St Martin’s Day songs.

In English the children read the story ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson. This is an ideal book for Halloween. It is a rhyming book and makes it easy for the children to remember the story. It also teaches kindness and being polite.
We also crafted pumpkin pictures and made ghosts.
